  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Yo, are any of you people getting tired of TV show and movie based video games? I must admit, some are okay, like Pirates of the Caribbean (Sea Dogs II) and Enter the Matrix would have been better if they hadn't rushed it. It made me sick the other day to watch little kids buy The Hulk and Spider-Man instead of Golden Sun: The Lost Age, FFTA, and more. Where have games gone, I know some people must like movie based games or they wouldn't sell, but they could be much better? Another one, Starsky and Hutch, I don't know about but heard it was mediocre, if anyone has played it, please give me your opinion.

I dislike games made from TV and Movies, I new and origial games, not some luke-warm game that someone made so they can make money off of a big movie release or popular TV show, I can just see it no "Friends" the video game.

They usually try to do too much. They try to encompass a whole movie and add too many varied types of activities - all which end up stinking. The best movie game I've played is Lord of the Rings - Fellowship of the Ring (the movie based game, not the book based one).

AvP (1&2) were good, sometimes the guys making these things just love the concept a movie/series brought to life and they wanna make a really great game based loosely on it. I will agree though that those 'nearly-released-before-the-movie' games blow bigtime! There are two types though, games made of movies regardless of release date (good) and games built on a schedule to go next to the T-shirts and lunchboxes opening weekend (bad).

I have NO idea why Bethesda sold out to Disney Interactive and renamed Seadogs II to Pirates of the Caribbean. Oh well, I guess they figured they could sell more boxes that way. I just hope Bethesda don’t rename Elder Scrolls (Morrowind) to adventures of Peter Pan, or something.
