Oh, I believe the flood happened. Yes, some of the language is poetic. It was a story about a real event that was passed down, not a scientific explanation of how it happened.WE are seeing here an entirely prescientific mythological cosmology. This is literature that should be read contemplatively for spiritual meaning rather than as literal history.
So what holds the waters above? I'm picturing a big bathtub in heaven? Maybe the angels left the faucet on too long and caused the flood.
What separated the waters in the Red Sea
The Bible only says a great wind from the east. The story refers to the Reed Sea not the Red Sea. The Reed Sea was the two shallow tidal lakes in the Sinai known in modern times as the Greater and Lesser Bitter Lakes. They are now part of the Suez Canal system. Moses knew the area, he would have had to be a complete fool to lead his people down to the Red Sea.

And from the edge. That would have been a good photo.Hi 71,
So, did he tell anyone what he saw on the other side? According to the report, the space vehicle was put into an orbital path circling the earth. Therefore, he got to see the flat of both sides...right?
Not in my experience.Indeed it is, since we would fall into the group of those able to think and question, by default.
Not in my experience.
