Click the link in my post and find out. It gets far more rain in winter than London!
You certainly have a habit of throwing in things that I would never expect anyone to say. Your lack of awareness of the popular outdoor lifestyle within the Mediterranean is certainly a surprise, though this may be one of those US quirks as it is often mentioned outside of the USA how so few Americans are aware of what exists outside of their own borders.

I would certainly never have expected to encounter someone who was not conscious of the incredible connection that virtually all coastal Mediterranean cultures have with the outdoor live which is something that we encounter not only in books and magazines but with the many television programs that describe how we can emulate this centuries old tradition of entertaining outside of our houses. Even here in Australia, as many of our coastal regions in particular share a similar temperate climate we also thoroughly enjoy outdoor dining. In fact, tomorrow I will be speaking with a builder about a new home that we are about to build and I will be placing a strong emphasis on a sizable outdoor patio that we will be using for our own meals and for entertaining guests.

In fact the weather services will show that Corinth only has about three months that would make entertaining and worshipping in the outdoor regions uncomfortable.

Weather and Climate: Average monthly Rainfall, Sunshine, Temperatures, Humidity, Wind Speed

"The best time to visit Athens and the Greek Islands begins in May, when the mean temperature is 21 degrees celcius (69 Fahrenheit) and rainfall is less than 1.5 cm, and continues on through June (mean temperature 25 degrees and rainfall less than 0.5 cm). July has monthly average temperatures of 28 degrees (82 Fahrenheit) and rainfall less than 0.5 cm and September, with an average temperature of 24 degrees (76 Fahrenheit) and less than 1 cm of rain. The first two weeks of June have perfect, sunny and warm weather, with little clouds or rain. Most rain falls between November and February, when Athens can be colder and windier than you might expect".
As I have regularly demonstrated, hardcore-cessationism is not only uncomfortable with the Scriptures, but also with culture (and language in your case) and now even unbelievably with the weather.

Even with the climate data there in front of your eyes you are still in denial. We are talking about the regular Sunday meetings not a spur of the moment decision to dine alfresco if the weather is nice. Those meetings would take place year round every week come rain or shine and with Corinth getting up to 100mm of rain in winter (Melbourne max is 70mm), and hot and dry summers then shade and shelter would be essential. With scripture and bible historians all affirming that they met in people's homes there is really nothing further to discuss on this point.

As much as there is a lot to know about life and particularly with the lifestyles of those cultures that are foreign to our own, I am still surprised that you are apparently completely unaware of how both contemporary (and ancient) Mediterranean societies interact. I'm a little unsure why you have not been able to connect the temperate weather patterns of the coastal Mediterranean societies with how Rome constructed so many massive outdoor amphitheatres along with how larger Roman (& Greek?) homes were constructed around an outdoor atrium so that their homes could be "air-conditioned" by the prevailing sea breezes.

As I said previously, as many coastal regions in Australia are also within a coastal temperate zone, as is the Mediterranean, we also enjoy holding as many functions as we can outdoors which includes the many weddings that are held in parks and reserves; but in Melbourne this tends to be avoided in Winter which is not so much an issue for our more northern cities. Though for small family events, in more recent years we have started to integrate portable outdoor gas heating systems which many of our countless restaurants and cafes also utilise so that their customers can comfortably sit outside even during winter.

As for the practice of the various Mediterranean cultures holding regular family and community gatherings outdoors I would have thought that most people would have been well aware of this, particularly as the many 'Outdoor Living' programs and documentaries often point out this marvelous aspect of Mediterranean life . Could you imagine trying to hold a wedding inside a family home or even a gathering of immediate family along with their many cousins, it would be near impossible for most families. If you make the effort to read up on the various Mediterranean cultures you should be able to quickly come up to speed on this; you might want to also read up on the weather patterns that effect Judah as well which will undoubtedly provide a few surprises.

Unlike church services, which were held every week all year round come rain or shine, games at Roman amphitheaters would have only been held only during the summer. Even then they had awnings covering the spectator areas to protect people from the harsh sun or the odd rain shower.

If you hadn't noticed, atriums happen to be an integral part of the house, so that if it rains you take can quickly take cover.

And why do you think that is? Something to do with the cold and wet Melbourne weather perhaps? Well the Melbourne winters are quite similar to Corinthian winters, apart from Corinth getting about DOUBLE the amount of rain:

Climate Melbourne: Temperature, Climate graph, Climate table for Melbourne - Climate-Data.org

Climate Corinth: Temperature, Climate graph, Climate table for Corinth - Climate-Data.org

As I said your idea of church meetings being held every week in an open field in Corinth is simply ludicrous. Just imagine taking communion outside in the pouring rain on a windy winters day. No, the historians are all agreed - they met in people's homes. But clearly you have your own unique and rather strange ideas so I think we will just have to leave you to them.

I can well understand that it can be very difficult to find any information that supports the cessationist mindset, where we have seen you not only trying to rewrite the English language to support your agenda but you are now even trying to rewrite the historical weather data patterns of the Mediterranean and where you are also trying to ignore what any person who travels through Europe or even glances at a news article would know about the vibrant outdoor lifestyle of the cultures that surround the Mediterranean.

As this discussion has now moved well into the inane and where I am now beginning to be embarrassed by our discussions, I think that it would be a good time to take a break from our interactions for a time.

Indeed. To save yourself any further embarrassment, I think that would be a very wise thing to do.
