There is one thing the psychic told me that was right on the money, "God is the only thing holding you together." Were his love not present my life would have ended long ago. by Crosssword

You needed a psychic to assure you that their is a God and that you should believe?

Since I know God is open to all His creation and seeks them to come to Him I find this statement somewhat difficult to understand.

Anyone here actually believes in it?

What is it that you find hard to believe? You are a pantheist, so presumably accept the supernatural and are open to there being something beyond ourselves - what makes Christianity in particular an issue?

Not to assure me there was God, or that I sought after God in some sense, only that God was the only thing holding me together.

The part that touches me is "GOD HOLDING ME TOGETHER," because I had felt it was inevitable that I was despised by everyone, including God. I was in the pit and not knowing how to dig myself out of it.

The Christian Forum has 224,279 members, and 47,768,404 posts. It held a global top twenty spot for several years, and is now the 24th most popular forum in existence. (I hope the data is current.)

Would this many people bother, if they didn't believe Christianity made sense? They can't all be on here to antagonize. (-;

I think perhaps his question is the desperate unknowing cry for help of the unbeliever

How can anyone still be Christian?

Yeah, take a good look at the world and you'll see that this is a very valid question.

To answer your question, we are, because it's the only thing that makes sense to us. If you give it a chance, you'll see that the Bible tells it like it is, bringing understanding to an insane world. It's wisdom is as true as it's prophecies.

Sometimes, people talk to one another unconsciously, or subconsciously. While most Christians focus on how to consciously convert people, we would be far more effective if we could reach them on a subconscious level.

Actually I don't have a choice because of what I know. At first it was kinda tough but actually I would also probably be dead or in a terrible place if it weren't for God. And the joy and peace he brings just can't be found in anything else.

I had a variety of faiths at one point. There are many gods and goddesses for you to worship, but only one that worships you. Only one, that has gone so far as to die for your sins and establish you in grace. He alone is worthy.

Nevertheless I have respect for the monks who train so diligently. I have mixed feelings about the east actually, but three things give me comfort in regard to good people of other faiths:

1) The bible tells us those without Christ will be judged according to their works at the white throne of God. Jesus did not come to save the righteous, he came as a physician to the sinful and sick of the world.

2) It seems that many will be given another chance after the 1000 year reign of Christ where satan is loosed for a little bit to deceive the nations one last time. While I don't support reincarnation as a general theory, I do believe anything is possible for the lord.

3) Jesus died to overcome all sin. He has the ultimate authority to forgive who he will forgive. I don't believe it's impossible for him to save those he chooses even if they haven't heard of him. Rare, but not impossible.

Then there is the question of who knows him. Well that would be those who are like him, and who do his fathers will. Spiritual people who are more interested in God and in heaven then the world. I dare say it's possible to walk with him without even knowing it, just as it's possible to think you are walking with him and not know him.
