  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Tim,
On a personal note that brought back so many memories. I had to laugh and tear up at the same time. Times Square is definitely a lively place. Actually I think that is an understatement. LOL Thank you so much for that. You brought back a little of of home.
Love

Tim,
Don't forget, my friend - that the pre-eminent disciple, Mary had great sorrow. No one could be closer to the Lord than her, or more fully understand the promise of eternal Salvation--- yet she is weeping at the foot of the Cross, weeping at the tomb.... Pain and sorrow are parts of our journey as disciples, embrace them just as fervrently as joy and happiness. It sounds as though you have holy sorrow-- if that makes any sense-- that it is the sorrow of missing your dad- of your own not yet entering the Eternal Kingdom-- but not a sorrow that separates you from Our Lord..
God Bless- you will remain in our prayers!
