Has anyone noticed the similarities of the white throne judgement in reve 20 and the passage in reve 6??? One appears to be from a "heavenly view" and one from an "earthly" view:eek: And the same passage spoken from Jesus dying on the cross, is the same one in revel 6!! The "lake of fire" that the beast and false prophet and devil are thrown in appears to be on earth and they are thrown in before the great white judgement judgement and it appears to be on earth!!! Could the "dead" before the throne be symbolically the living dead without Christ already judged and condemened on earth:confused:
Any views on this? God bless.:amen:

reve 20: 11 Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And there was found no place for them. 12 And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is [the Book] of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books. 13 The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works.

reve 6: 14 Then the sky receded as a scroll when it is rolled up, and every mountain and island was moved out of its place. 15 And the kings of the earth, the great men, the rich men, the commanders, the mighty men, every slave and every free man, hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains, 16 and said to the mountains and rocks, "Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb! 17 "For the great day of His wrath has come, and who is able to stand?"

luke 23:28 But Jesus, turning to them, said, "Daughters of Jerusalem, do not weep for Me, but weep for yourselves and for your children. 29 "For indeed the days are coming in which they will say, 'Blessed [are] the barren, wombs that never bore, and breasts which never nursed!' 30 "Then they will begin 'to say to the mountains, "Fall on us!" and to the hills, "Cover us!" ' 31 "For if they do these things in the green wood, what will be done in the dry?"

And how is this high priest suppose to see CHrist coming in the clouds before the great white throne judgement:scratch:

Mark 14:60 And the high priest stood up in the midst and asked Jesus, saying, "Do You answer nothing? What [is it] these men testify against You?" 61 But He kept silent and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked Him, saying to Him, "Are You the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?" 62 Jesus said, "I am. And you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Power, and coming with the clouds of heaven." 63 Then the high priest tore his clothes and said, "What further need do we have of witnesses? 64 "You have heard the blasphemy! What do you think?" And they all condemned Him to be deserving of death.

Jerem 2:13 "Behold, he shall come up like clouds,And his chariots like a whirlwind. His horses are swifter than eagles. Woe to us, for we are plundered!" 14 O Jerusalem, wash your heart from wickedness, That you may be saved. How long shall your evil thoughts lodge within you? 15 For a voice declares from Dan And proclaims affliction from Mount Ephraim: 16 "Make mention to the nations, Yes, proclaim against Jerusalem, [That] watchers come from a far country And raise their voice against the cities of Judah

bump for discussion and views on post below. Thanks. God bless.:amen:

Zeph 1: 2"I will sweep away everything from the face of the earth," declares the Lord. "I will sweep away both men and animals: I will sweep away the birds of the air and the fish of the sea. The wicked will have only heaps of rubble when I cut off man from the face of the earth," declares the Lord. "I will stretch out my hand against Judah and against all who live in Jerusalem."

Sorry, I don't see them as the same event. They seem to me to be two separate occurances.
That is ok. It would be hard to see unless one views revelation as the destruction of Jerusalem[ dispensationalists see it as ALL future]. :amen:
Revelation has always been relegated to the future and rarely looked as perhaps past, but the 2 events below are indeed past here.

This shows Christ being born and taken up. That would represent a 3 and half year period of Daniel's "one week" I believe.

reve 12:5 She bore a male Child who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron. And her Child was caught up to God and His throne.

How long a period after the taken up of Jesus until He is shown as a slain Lame in chapt 5:eek: Although Jesus was from the tribe of Judah, it was the tribe of Judah/Levi that vengeance and wrath was to come upon by most of the propehcies.

reve 5:5 But one of the elders said to me, "Do not weep. Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has prevailed to open the scroll and to loose its seven seals." 6 And I looked, and behold, in the midst of the throne and of the four living creatures, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as though it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent out into all the earth.

Even the high priest was to see Christ coming in the clouds, so we must also fit that into revelation as the wicked dead aren't shown being judged until AFTER the symbolic "1000yrs".

Mark 14:60 And the high priest stood up in the midst and asked Jesus, saying, "Do You answer nothing? What [is it] these men testify against You?" 61 But He kept silent and answered nothing. I see those that are crying out to the mountains to fall on them...are the wicked while those that say

Isaiah 25:9 And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this is our God; we have waited for him, and he will save us: this is the LORD; we have waited for him, we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation.
are the believers.

(Rev 6:15-17) And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; {16} And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: {17} For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?

Didn't say "the chief sinners".

Why do they say that?

On His way to the cross, Christ said,

(Luke 23:28-31) But Jesus turning unto them said, Daughters of Jerusalem, weep not for me, but weep for yourselves, and for your children. {29} For, behold, the days are coming, in the which they shall say, Blessed are the barren, and the wombs that never bare, and the paps which never gave suck. {30} Then shall they begin to say to the mountains, Fall on us; and to the hills, Cover us. {31} For if they do these things in a green tree, what shall be done in the dry?

The antithesis is here:

(Mark 13:17) But woe to them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!

"Women" and "mothers" is nowhere in the MSS.

Of course, this begs the question, "Who else besides women can give birth to babies?"

Your answer is in Jeremiah 30:6-7.

(2 Cor 11:1-3) Would to God ye could bear with me a little in my folly: and indeed bear with me. {2} For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ. {3} But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtlety, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.

Christ, the Husband has been gone 2,000 years.

He's coming back expecting a virgin bride.

She's carrying a baby.

What does that mean?

She's been unfaithful. She beheld Satan fall as lightneing with his angels and thought he was Jesus. Now she is too ashamed to face Christ.
