Motherboard Problem

Will at my vocational tech. school we are building PCs and today we got to turning on the computer and booting it up. However at least five of the computers in the class didn't boot up at all instead the PC Speaker came on with two long beep that continued going on and off. I'm trying to figure out what exactly the problem is. In my groups computer I unpluged all of the devices such as HDD FDD and CD what is causing this beep I even looked in the Mobos manual and there isn't anything about the beep

What's the motherboard manufacturer? You might look on their website, or call their tech support and see what the beep codes mean

Google Beep Codes, Prob either the CPU is pluged in wrong, or loose memory.

I'd first check the memory

Or the Mobos are fried from static...? Are you ensuring that you're properly earthed, etc.?

Most commonly, beep codes signal a problem with video or RAM. Do you know the BIOS manufacturer (Phoenix, Award, etc.)? It should be stamped onto the chip on the mobo.

Here's a sample beep code page. Your code doesn't match any I see here, so it might be Award's RAM signal. That's an easy fix (and any easy mistake to make), at least. Just reseat the RAM and see if that clears it up.
