Okay since I am not sure which forum is appropriate I selected this one. I am wondering what the most common questions were among us when we were new christians. For me it was ...
How can God be three persons at once?
How can I trust that the Bible is truth?
How do I know when I hear God's voice and know that it is not mine own thoughts?

These were my biggest ones. I think most have been answered during my walk but I still struggle with the last. I wanted to open discussion on this topic and see what people had to say.

How do I know when I hear God's voice and know that it is not mine own thoughts?

This was/is my only question. The others I let sort themselves out. I began believing in the truth of the Bible as I started reading it from start to finish. I was probably already saved at the time. But I became aware of that salvation around 2Chronicles. ;) As to the trinity, I leave that for theologians to figure out. We'll learn soon enough.

The way I know God's voice, though maybe not at the time, is that I get confirmation from the Bible, from my pastor's messages, from comments from Christian friends. I.e. verbal 2x4's across the forehead! :D

That, to me, is the primary question! If you know the answer to that then God could answer the other two. When you know His voice then you will know all truths come from Him! He will answer all questions! I found that when I have learned something on my own without the Holy Spirit pride wells up and I want to tell someone that “I know, I know” I now know the feeling of pride and absolutely hate it! It seems, to me “IMHO”, that when I receive a truth from God I tend to hold it back! I really don’t know why, maybe it’s because without carnal pride behind it I’m not persuaded to disclose it. I believe God will persuade me when the time comes and He does.

Where did God come from.

God doesn't 'come from' anywhere. He is the one who exists eternally (existence without time) so that everything else can come from somewhere (or rather, someone...i.e. God).

God is the ultimate first cause of absolutely everything else that has existed or ever will exist (including the component parts of the 'Big Bang')

God is not "three persons at once." The doctrine of the Trinity is that the Godhead is three persons in consubstantial unity. In other words, the Father is truly and completely God, not just a "part of God," even as Christ and the Holy Spirit are truly and completely God, not just "parts" of God.

How can I trust that the Bible is truth?

This depends...what do you mean by "truth?"
