Another interesting 24/7 Wall St. piece. A ranking of all 100 U.S. Senators by popularity. Based on polling by Morning Consult. Which does on-line public opinion surveys. Senators are ranked by percentage of their constituents who approved of their performance. In cases of a tie, the Senator with lower disapproval numbers was ranked higher.

The top 10:
1. Bernie Sanders, (D) Vermont
2. Patrick Leahy, (D) Vermont
3. John Barrasso, (R) Wyoming
4. Angus King, (I) Maine
5. John Hoeven, (R) N. Dakota
6. Mike Enzi, (R) Wyoming
7. Amy Klobuchar, (D) Minnesota
8. Jeanne Shaheen, (D) New Hampshire
9. John Thune, (R) S. Dakota
10. Chris Coons, (D) Delaware

The bottom 10:
91. Martha McSally, (R) Arizona
92. Roy Blunt, (R) Missouri
93. Joni Ernst, (R) Iowa
94. Pat Roberts, (R) Kansas
95. Richard Burr, (R) N. Carolina
96. Mitch McConnell, (R) Kentucky
97. Gary Peters, (D) Michigan
98. Cory Gardner, (R) Colorado
99. Bob Menendez, (D) New Jersey
100. Thom Tillis, (R) N. Carolina

Poll respondents in VT and WY generally approve of both their Senators. More North Carolinians who were polled disapprove of both of their's. Poor Mitch McConnell rates 37% approval and 50% disapproval. In a way, I kinda feel sorry for the guy. If there was ever a no-win situation, he's in it. Being Trump's point man in the Senate has to be one of the worst jobs on the planet.

1. Bernie Sanders, (D) Vermont

If this is accurate, he should not be ruled out as the Democratic Party nominee.
96. Mitch McConnell, (R) Kentucky

Makes me wonder why he is the Senate's Majority Leader. Four Republicans are on the Top 10 list.

Eight of the least-liked Senators are Republicans. Hopefully that indicates there will be a blue wave next year.
