Does anyone play Morrowind? I have a question about the game.

I Know it costs magic points (magicka) to cast a spell.

Does it cost magicka to...
  1. Use an enchanted item?
  2. Drink a potion that you have in your inventory?
  3. Use a weapon that has a magical effect on it (is this the same as enchanted weapon?)?

Hmmm... I haven't played Morrowind much in a few years now.

I'm pretty sure the answers to your questions are: no, no, and no (I believe it is the same as an enchanted weapon... but it might just be my more recent combing of Oblivion that's clouded my memory).

In other words, I have no idea what I'm talking about. :D

With enchanted and magicial weapons each weapon has it's own magic pool that recharges over time, potions don't use magic points but may use a stamina point I'm not sure.

1. Not that I've ever encountered, that's why I like my Amulets of Almsivi and Divine Intervention.
2. Nope.
3. You mean like you activate it like a scroll and you gain levitation or something else? Nope. An enchanted weapon is just one that's "charged", and is effective a set number of hits, like a weapon enchanted with elemental attacks, such as frost, shock or flame. If you run around and fight critters to fill soul gems, you can use them to recharge enchanted items. (That's why I love Souldrinker, but find that because I use the charges it has during the fights, I often have to recharge it with the soul I just trapped...maybe I should change my tactics and use those gem feeder scrolls I find all over the place.)
