Diabetes start with pain in their feet that is called neuropathy it is the first sign that there is trouble and when the nerves are destroyed they can injure their feet and not even know it and because of the already poor blood flow any infection can be devastating and end up with amputation to stop the spread of gangrene. Diabetics that get to the point need to inspect their feet often and wear shoes to protect them from harm.
