  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hey guys,

I want to do some more reading on Sacred Tradition and Communion on the Saints.  Can someone point me to the best books on either of this?

Or how about some good online links? =)

By the way, I went over to a local Catholic Center and I'll eventually start RCIA soon =)

Wow! Congrats, Jason! I believe this book delves into the Communion of Saints, but even if my memory is not serving me well right now, Theology and Sanity, by Frank Sheed, is an absolutely amazing book. Next to the bible, that is my choice of books to recommend. BUY IT TODAY!!! I loaned mine out, and hope to get it back soon. Chu is going to be a pastor, hopefully, so I wanted him to read it.

By the way, I met up with one priest who's involved with RCIA and we went over the entire process on how it will all happen. =)

It's quite exciting, but at the same time I sometimes feel as if I'm living a nightmare or something.  Did any of you guys feel this way?
