CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Wow, it gave Jewish believers in the land of Israel a bad name in that he is a Jewish-Israeli believer in Yeshua ( I don't know if he is actually born again). I think he is Anglican. Anyways, he is a traitor. He signed a contract when he took the job to secrecy and then he broke it.

THere are two reasons why Vanunu was imprisoned:
_because he shoed the world Israels massive nuclear arsenal (which shoulden't be existing)
_ and also because he converted to christianity, which in the eyes of the israeli probably as bad...
If he had remained Jewish he probably wouldn't have been imprisoned that long and in those conditions...

I am fully aware of his supposed "conversion" to christianity (though personally I see NO evidence of that, i.e. I doubt there is enough evidence to convict him in a court of law of being a "christian", as they say). They have kept Pollard for just such a crime, and he gave information to Israel's ally (U.S.), not her enemies. In fact, I think it is *because* of his "christian" label that he got out at all. When it comes to being a traitor why is rarely germain, every traitor in history had a why...... he is just plain a traitor and should never have seen the light of day. He made his choice and all of Israel has to live with the consequenses.
