Do you know how bright the moon would be on its surface applying the inverse square law based on it's alleged distance and light intensity on earth? The Moon is, on average, just as far from the Sun as the Earth is.

The luminosity of the moon as seen from earth is a function of the distances involved and the fact that the Moon's albedo is a fairly low 0.12 (compared to around 0.33 for the Earth).

That's what I'm saying, apply the average lux of moonlight on earth to the distance on an inverse square calculator, see what you get for moon's surface. Astronomical.

If you are using logic and reason to get by, you re already at a handicap - which is why you would (predictably) say what you said. (The reasonable and the logicians are always surprised by the unreasonable and illogical - to a severe fault.) Plenty of other posters/CF members would love to say exactly what you say, but they know it is bordering the rules - so there are borne more convoluted ways to insult an individual to stay with the rules.
