CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
Probably the best anime series I've seen! 
I got chills multiple times, even from the messed up children's stories in it (the monster without a name etc.) I liked how even the minor characters had their own stories. I also liked that the characters usually weren't physically super gorgeous (except Johann and maybe Anna), just normal looking people of various ages.
The series has very dark themes, but also some brighter moments in it so the atmosphere didn't feel completely hopeless. It made me think about who or what really was the monster there - Johann, other people who did all those evil things, or just the brokenness and tendency for evil in humans (sin). Was Johann just someone who gave a human form/face for this evil, perhaps unwillingly? I still don't completely remember or understand his motives.
Also obviously some highly evil things have really happened in history so it makes me think about what was the driving force behind them. (Both theologically and psychologically.)
I highly recommend this series if you like suspense and drama. Just be warned it has dark themes; violence, murders, abuse etc.
