Any Monster Hunter players around? I've been playing since Monster Hunter Tri and I'm counting the days until Rise is released. Anyone have a favorite MH game or fun stories about their experience with the series?

You should! I highly encourage people to try it. Some people don't like it because of the controls (they can be clunky at times and feel heavy) and RNG elements, but it's been an amazing series for me, personally.

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, 4 Ultimate, and Generations were released on the 3DS. I think a lot of people just get busy with other things. They can be grindy at times and if that's not your thing, it's hard to hook people.

I'm pretty sure it was Monster Hunter 3.

One reason I now remember for stopping playing the game was the low resolution of the 3DS was driving me insane.. lol.. have to try one of the games for the PS4.

I don't mind grinding games.. gives me a chance to numb my gaming mind and listen to some podcasts in the process.

I played Monster Hunter World on pc and thought it was very fun! It was my first MH game, so there was a steep learning curve, but once I got the hang of it I really enjoyed it.
