Moms Letter!

Just wanted to let everyone know that we all received our copies of the letter my mother wrote while she was institutionalized for a few days. She just went on about why she thinks she was a good mother and how much it hurts her that we think more highly of our Father than we do of her and now she wants to be left alone because she is feeling betrayed and under appreciated. She clearly states she will not seek counseling which she obviously needs. Iv'e been telling my Father of all the wonderful advice I have received from this forum and he wants me to ask whether at this time he should file for divorce based on the fact my mother won't see a Psychiatrist!

Oh Puh-lease...only thing you've done with the "wonderful advice" you've received here is twist it to suit yourself and justify your behavior or flat out ignore it.

Wonderful advice? Don't be blowing smoke up my posterior with that line. If you think it's so wonderful why do you keep trying to change our perception of what you've written and justify your inexcusable actions away with even more trumped up reason to go against God's written words? If it's that wonderful ... why in the heck aren't you taking any of it and putting it to productive use then?

As far as your mother, YOU, imo, are in need of some serious and obvious counseling of your very own. Are you going to go for it? I think you need to based on all you've written here in this forum. But I'm sure you're answer is probably no, that you'll not seek it. Maybe I should start a thread about IHMFIL and why she just won't go seek the counseling she so obviously needs? It'd be the same as this thread ... because you think your mother needs it when a PROFESSIONAL MENTAL INSTITUTION not only dishcarged her, but did NOT recommend counseling for her! Ah, but both you and your father say she needs it so she must. Let me ask you a question, where is YOURS and your FATHER'S diplomas from medical school and Psychiatry hanging at? Do you have one (not counting the ones you can cut out of the back of MAD magazine either)? No. Take the professionals advice IHMFIL. Let it go already and move on. That's a closed issue.

I'll no longer feed your need for this strange obsession for attention here. You are self centered, that much is clear beyond belief in each of these threads about 'WOE-IS-ME ME ME ME ME!' And you have this insatiable need to hear/see yourself talk and have people comment on your life's situation which you still will not listen and heed their 'WONDERFUL' advice.

Ugh ... I'd love to see each of your threads locked like E-beth did previously, but that's a censorship I cannot condone, not even for you. I'll just refrain from them in the future ... unless I'm bored and need a good hearty laugh.

I have been putting some of this into action for example:

I am making a point of watching Dr. Phil for the first time in my life! Because many people have spoken very highly of him.

Because I am a very humble person I don't always try to make myself look good and as a christian woman I put others before myself, I will tell you I have an appointment with a christian counselor, and I don't want anyone to think for a minute it is not because I'm not receiving good advice here, I just need to have a conversation right now one on one with someone in addition to the support of this forum.

So I am heeding the wise words of this forum and seeking counseling.

Yes! I find it funny and hypocritical that she would state "as a christian woman I put others before myselfl." I suppose that means everyone BUT her husband who she vowed to love and honor all the days of her life. In retrospect, I think it's more sad.

Yes, I've noticed that as well. It's why I won't feed into her need. I think as Christians though we should all pray for her. Satan is influencing here and we cannot permit him to gain an even stronger strong hold.

So in the end I should just have listened to my Father and realized no man would ever come close to being like my Father. I have a sister who is 50 and never married or had a relationship with a man longer than 6 months because all men fall way short of the mark to us because we are bred from the closest thing to a deity other than God himself. I should have listened and heeded the words of my Father and not lowered my standards to have married knowing no man would ever come close to being as great as my Father.

This is what I've learned from my divorce, take it to heart:
When 100 people are telling you something, and you are the only person disagreeing... You are probably WRONG, and it's time to really evaluate your position. Take heed - you have many people here giving you GODLY advice, and because you don't like it, you twist it and ignore it and throw it back in our faces. Out of love for you, as a sister, people have tried to help.

But I guess everyone who doesn't agree with you is lower than you are... and not good enough... and basically wrong.

That's sad, and I feel for you... I feel for your husband.

To compare any human other than Christ (who was fully human and fully God)to a deity is way off base. That is so not Christian it's not even funny. A true Christian would in fact usually be the exact opposite because they realize how far short we fall. I fear for you (if in fact this is a real situation which I've doubted from day one but have tried to respond as it was in case there was the 1 in a million case where things could be this bizarre) in that you sound like you have been brainwashed by your dad and so have your sibs. Listen to your mom, listen to your husband, listen to folks here (who may or may not watch Dr. Phil, but who try generally to follow God's Word) and get over the insane selfishness.

Well I was going to start another thread because my brother just got arrested for domestic violence but I won't go there because his wife had an affair so I know he is forgiven. BUT I do want to show you people that I am a very humble person and admit that my mothers mental illness has had a negative effect on myself and some of my siblings,my sister has been treated for bulimia, some brothers have short man complex and obviously the one brother needs anger management. So please pray for the demons in my mothers genetic code to be cast away from us so my Fathers genetic code will flourish inside of us even greater still.

Dad is perfect.
Mom's a nut
Husband's has too much integrity, is lazy and a unforgiving
Brother's abusive
Spouses don't like the way the family treats them
Dr.'s think Mom is just fine
Mom and Dad live 100 miles from each other, except on weekends where he graces her with his divine precense.
All people are below members of this family
It's everyone else's fault
God has blessed this family with amazing genetic code from Dad
And cursed them with Mom's code
She's divorcing her husband, but because of her amazing humility, is only asking for all of his business holdings
Husband should get nothing, even though he gave up everything for the marriage
Brother should get everything
Everyone on this board gives horrible advice
Family is forgiven, though they don't forgive
All residents of Ohio are currently thinking about moving out of state....

Is this all correct?
