  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Anyone can put a kayak in the water and go for a paddle, but where's the challenge? The aim of this trip was to find a stretch of river unknown to me and explore it in the true spirit of adventure, while praying not only for my own safety, but for some unique opportunities for wildlife photography. Well, I got both!

My wife dropped me off in the Molonglo river near the shopping centre in Queanbeyan at around 2:30pm. I didn't wear my ghillie suit this time as rivers have a tendency to have a lot of snags. Camera gear and phone in the dry-bag and off I went......

Enjoy!!

What a God' given talent you have ~ PTL
Your pics are awesome, and your writings are very interesting!

I 'was' into nature study/photography (amateur), being the nature lover I am.
Sadly age and illness took that from me years ago (and my treasured Minolta SLR died)! :(

But I live on a lake surrounded by forests, and we have abundant wildlife here, so I treasure it in my heart when God's creatures come through our property (bear, moose, deer, and assorted size critters)...or I am able to take a hike in the back woods :D
*My limited time couldn't justify my spending the $$ on a digital

I have bookmarked your journal and albums so I can really get into them when I have the time.

Thanks so much for sharing ~ God bless you

Thanks so much for your beautiful reply Gail. Yes, the Lord truly has blessed us with a beautiful world to live in, filled with all the shapes and forms of His wonderful creation!

We need to enjoy and appreciate it on any level we are capable of. I'd love to photograph the wildlife you have over there one day!

Bless ya mate!

Blessed us He has ... from the the macro to the panoramic...and I love it all :)

I would love to see what YOU have, first hand some day; it in on my 'bucket list' ;)

Over the years I have gotten quite a collection of animal artifacts...snake skins, bones, nests, infertile eggs etc....
My grandsons think I am the 'coolest' grandmother on the planet ^_^....and they have plenty of material for science fairs

I found animal tracks amazing too....and going out with an experienced tracker is what sparked my photography interest almost 30 years ago.

And to think some people walk right by....paying no attention, and having no interest even when pointed out

It was nice chatting ~ be safe and blessed on your journeys
