  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I've noticed one. When a man says, "My wife is my better half. I'd be nothing without her. She made me what I am," people tend to think, "What a sweet, sensitive man. How nice, he appreciates his wife." But turn it around and let a woman say, "My husband is my better half. I'd be nothing without him. He made me what I am." See how fast she's labeled "codependent."

Thoughts on this or any other double standards?

Yeah I got one. This goes out to all the creditors that harrass people when they are unable to pay their bills due to financial hardship. especially now with the economy the way it is.

The person in debt is responsible for payment or court action may be taken, but lenders can be bailed out by the government which ultimatley comes out of our taxes.

No doubt. With the whispers of CC companies being the next to seek government help, it bugs me to no end. I get at least five, pre-printed apps every week. Why that isn't illegal boggles my mind.

Of course, I return the postage paid envelope to make sure they help keep the post office funded and that their irritating snail mail spam is as costly for them as possible. The key to that is not including the app in the envelope. Those I shred. ;)
