Few days back, I was giving counseling to the New Converts and was sharing the following things in my native tongue and this is gist of it.


W--A--T--C--H.

Watch your words.

Watch your actions.

Watch your thoughts.

Watch your conduct.

Watch your habits.




I Timothy 4: Let no one despises your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity.


1.Example in word.

Let us careful in speaking words.

Watch your words.

2.Example in Conduct.

Watch your conduct.

3.Example in Love.

God is love.
Jesus Loves you.

4.Example in Spirit.

Let us use all our gifts and talents for His glory alone.

5.Example in Faith.

Example in faith means faithfulness.

6.Example in purity.

Pure thoughts.


Example in Good works.

Let people see our good works and glorify Him

"Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.

We are called to do good works.

Christian should maintain good works.

Our Model is Lord Jesus Christ.

Jn 13: 15 "For I have given you an example, that you should do as I have done to you.

The first part reminds me of a cartoon where daddy tells the kids to watch the steaks on the grill while he went in to socialize a little with friends. After a while the kids come in and say "We watched the steaks. They grew black and fell through the grill. Now what do you want us to do?"

The churches are so full of baby Christians that don't understand what they're supposed to do after they get saved -- so they go back to being good Jews, where all they have to do is follow a new set of rules. But the end game in Christianity is to have God overhaul our hearts so we feel love for God and our neighbors. This is different from doing charitable deeds or putting our fire insurance dues in the plate. Here's the road God wants us Christians to take toward spiritual maturity:
