  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

sorry if this is kinda the wrong part of the forum but mobile phones are kind of...computer-y....and they can access the internet too!! (well some can anyway)

anyway, today i "inherited" a Sony Ericsson T68i from my sister when she bought herself a new phone. the first thing I did was request a sports score from my provider's "PocketNews" service. as expected, the score arrived as a text message. however, i have recieved 7 text messages since then and they have all been that sports score. i know for a fact that three of them are my attempts to download the red dwarf theme as a ringtone (there's $8 or so down the drain...) and one is an attempt to look at another pocketnews thingy. so theres three messages there that i dont know who they're from or what they are.

does anyone know if this is more likely to be a problem with the phone or my provider? and how can i fix it??

It may be with your provider, if you are charged for something you didn't receive, call your company to make sure you get a refund.

I have a friend who's phone sends him sports scores 7 or 8 times in a row, but he is never charged for those text messages, very strange. Your best bet would be to call your company and find out what's up.
