Can anyone advise if wool and linen together made up the High Priest's ephod ?

Ex.39:2: And he made the ephod of gold, blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen.
27: And they made coats of fine linen of woven work for Aaron, and for his sons,

This site says so:-
The ephod and breastplate were made of all five materials. Thus the Bible states regarding each, "And they shall make the ephod of gold, sky-blue, dark-red and crimson dyed wool, and twisted linen" and "And you shall make the breastplate of judgment, the work of an artist; after the manner of the ephod shall you make it: of gold, sky-blue, dark-red, and crimson dyed wool, and of twisted linen shall you make it" (Ex. 28:6,15).

Yet the word "wool" is not in the KJV.

The law says:-
De:22:11: Thou shalt not wear a garment of divers sorts, as of woollen and linen together.

perhaps the cloths that could be dyed with those colors were woollen?

the passage seems to be describing two fabrics...
28:15And thou shalt make the breastplate of judgment with cunning work; after the work of the ephod thou shalt make it; [1] of gold, of blue, and of purple, and of scarlet, [2] and of fine twined linen, shalt thou make it.
my indicators of the two fabrics are in blue.

someone can look into the Hebrew for us and find if it indicates wool :)

YAY I can use my college ebumacacion!

This is brocade they are making. It is linen and gold. The colors are all dyed in linen. Linen takes color (especially natural dyes) better than wool. Wool distorts the dyes tinging them yellow. (Modern dying does not do this).

FINE linen, is white. Bleached linen. And to bleach linen back then...well it was a nasty nasty process.
