I fail to see your point in this. Do you think these messages should be removed? There's no good answer for all the suffering in the world. However, God doesn't usually intervene in the will of other human beings aka Hitler, terroists, bad leaders, and all those other people.
Also, what's the use of a heaven if our world is perfect? Jesus reverbalized over and over that things would be bad

What then is the point of saying that God cares, God will take care of you, that God watches over you when that is not the case? If God does not intervene, then why pray for protection or deliverance from harm when that may not happen? Your last point suggests then that for people to look forward to (and appreciate) heaven they must experience hell here and now?

Your posts in this thread should leave all of us with a basic understanding that we don't understand all of the aspects of God as well as we pretend that we do. I do not understand everything that He does or allows. And yet I faith that He is good, even though I don't understand Him.

Have you seen a garuntee somewhere that God will infact take care of any who prays for protection? Does bad things that happen suggest that God is not watching? Is He a garuntee that He will intervene? How do you know He has not already protected you from harm and possiblt death?

Not sure I would blame anyone who decides to "not" accept such a fickle god......
I am not sure what the answer is Stormy, I do know we lie about HIM a lot....
We have not gotten the right idea about HIM and some times we run what has always been said instead of making sure we got it right and or have made sure it makes sense.....

I agree God is selective. But that in noway suggest that God does not care or is not watching. And I am comfortable with that Idea. Its just that God is seeking to bring us to a better place. Some do suffer more than others in this world. Some of us have a harder cross to bear and this present world is not our home. Its about the inner man and his relationship with God. The conditions and situations of this world only strengthen or weaken a persons faith in God. So while we all suffer, the suffering is for a purpose, and is not left un-noticed by God.

Well, I don't especially agree. When the aspect of original sin is better seen in it's true light (God's care and love versus Satan's lies and deception), healing can immediately start to begin.
Otherwise we're just left with a "boogeyman" God waiting to pounce, a "tyrant" that must be "appeased."
