Are you aware, AV, that in secular Britain we tend to group islamic fundamentalists and christian fundamentalists together? We don't see much difference between the two in terms of sanity.
Ahem ... I thought you kept yourself isolated from creationists?

In any event, I'm going to disagree with your post.

Christianity seems to be the center of the bullseye among the academically-inclined -- at least on this site.

I submit that that should be submissible as evidence for God.

Blimey, criticism of Christianity from people living in Christian-majority nations on a Christian-focussed site. Imagine that!

I submit that that should be submissible as evidence for God.
Talk about non sequiturs.

Yup. And?

There are mosques in the US too.
You guys just don't get it, do you?

While the science inquisition is focused on us U.S. [literal] creationists, the Islams are slipping in your back door.

It's like you guys standing there telling me I need to pull the thorns up out of my yard, while the house on the other side of you is sowing crabgrass in yours.

Well, like I've said, I haven't gone to any of the non-Christian threads to see if you guys are sowing your tares* there, so I could be all wrong.

* evolution, assorted slang terms, and scientism

A mosque in London =/= slipping in the back door.

Let me guess, this is the whole "the UK is now under Sharia Law" canard you lot like to go on about?

Remind me again how many white Muslim converts recently arrested for plotting terror attacks were US citizens?

The vast, vast majority of Muslims in the UK are benign - but I expect no less fearmongering coming from a member of a group who thinks evolutionism is of the devil and leads to the holocaust.

It's like you guys standing there telling me I need to pull the thorns up out of my yard, while the house on the other side of you is sowing crabgrass in yours.

No, what's actually happening is our yard is starting to sprout a few weeds because the seeds have been blowing over from the Atlantic.

Just sorting out (one of) the problems at its source. Like it or not, we hear more about Christian creationism than we do about any kind of Islamic creationism.

Whatever scientism is.

Meanwhile, how many threads are you sowing your tares in? Your pride of ignorance and your asinine ideas pushing people away from Christ?

Get your own garden in order first.

This is basically the argument from majority opinion but with the error propagating through the reasoning an extra step. As has been repeatedly pointed out, Christianity is the most prominent faith, therefore Christian creationism is the most prominent creationism, therefore most responses dealing with creationism will deal with Christian creationism.

It boils down to "Christianity is the most popular faith", which is obviously proof of nothing.

Also, basing your opinion on this site is not good practice either, as the sample size is not particularly large.

Yep, I agree with Cabal.

Me too but this brings up the bigger picture. The hatred of Muslims in the USA. While not a majority view many people are protesting any planned mosque (more than just the one planned several blocks from the two towers in NYC) and even a church burning the Koran on 11th September (courtesy of the daily show).

Ultimately this is a christian board, if this was a Muslim board we would be debating against Muslim creationists same goes for Jews and any other religion.

People here will debate any person who is a creationist no matter their religion.

I could be wrong, but I get the feeling if this was a Muslim board, you guys wouldn't be here.

your feelings are wrong.

if Islam was the #1 religion in the usa, and was waging war on science like you guys, i would be their with my paintbrush and shield fighting evil, just like i am doing right here. And sometimes I do go to muslim forums, but realaly they dont have the active presence here that you guys do.
