• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I know it may be hard but stay close to Jesus despite what you are feeling. Also fast and pray.

amen . I pray you continue to draw close to the Lord despite it all and that the medication helps. Remember that we are anchored in him. the winds may roar and the boat may rock , but we're not going anywhere . the guilt is the hard part to deal with . because even though i believe the Lord knows my heart and that i dont have to accept the thoughts and they cant take my salvation, it gets frustrating sometimes. but He wouldnt put more on us then we could bear so I know we can make it through !

no problem accune. know that someone is praying for you and you are not alone in this .

honestly , i really dont know though in regards to your question. sometimes im in a half-sleep state and i'll be praying to Him and then i find myself on a whole different route, thinking about weird things , its crazy . i go back to sleep and wake up and find myself doing it again lol . sometimes i pray and ask Him to forgive me if they're bad towards Him but i know He wont hold us accountable for those things. He is just and righteous and merciful , and loves us.

the thoughts that i have when im awake are usually caused by the fear of not trying to think something . like say if i see a large person , i get immediately sensitive toward them and try not to think nothing bad about their weight , but intrusive thoughts come up in the ugliest way and theyre not from my heart . because if i was mean i wouldnt care , but i do . and it targets my Lord too but He knows our heart and thats what its important to remember .

really ? i thought i was the only one , having intrusive thoughts about others beside our Father , wow . but it just shows how sensitive to others if you think about it, the thing we're trying to least to do , think bad thoughts , we do . but im SO much better, some times i go about and not think anything bad and i realize it and then my brain tries to hurry up and think bad about someone . its really irritating. but i thank God that He knows my heart , our heart =] like when im with my boss and she's talking in my head im like okay listen carefully and then thoughts attack and might say , im not even listening or get to the point , the things i dont want to think . but we need not to walk around fearing to hurt others, we just have to live life , and if we do hurt others , all we have to do is repent. see sometimes i cant distinguish the intrusive thoughts from my own because i know im not perfect and dont walk around thinking positive 100 % of the time so i just tell the Lord to forgive me for anything i did that was displeasing in His sight, but when i know forsure something was on my behalf i repent of that specific sin you know . praying for you , i know its hard accune . the Lord is holding you , keep the faith
