Missions trip

OK, quick question. I am a student at a Catholic University and I wanted to attend a missions trip to Honduras in the Spring. The only problem; I have no way to finance the trip. Will the Church help me with financial aide? Or are there any programs that I could look into to help fund the trip? Or do I need to fund raise on my own. The rest of the group haven't discussed fundraising at all, they all seem to be able to afford it. Any responses would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, I would think it would be fine to ask your parish for help. Perhaps you could organize a raffle or a bake sale? How much money are you going to need?

Its only $600 which is just incredible because I hear its usually much more. So I'm hoping it won't be all that difficult to raise. But without a large group fundraising together it might be a little more of a hassle.

Well, that's not bad at all. Ask your priest or parish director about fund raising or sponsors.
