Missions in Europe

(don't)-get american food, american clothes and american books and american songs sent over constantly, and make no effort to integrate...they deserved to be laughed at and I didn't hold myself back.

Wow! I agree completely! I went to Europe with a bunch of teenagers on a missions trip (for ONLY TWO WEEKS, mind you!!!) and they were SO anxious to go to McDonald's and the like whenever they could!!! I would have MUCH rather had the opportunity to eat what the natives had, etc. And they were SO excited when we got back to American where they could eat "normal" food...I was appalled!

Of course, I also agree when you say you can't believe that people say don't go to France! How rediculous!!! EVERYONE NEEDS TO HEAR THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST, and those who DON'T WANT TO NEED TO, TOO!!!

It is really sad that there are such places. There are a lot of tribes which do not even have the Bible in their language.

Well, this doesn't sound too hopeful. I'm really ready to go now! As for France, let them laugh, whether it be for the fact that i'm and American or a Christian or both. Thank you for the replies! I'll know what to look forward to.

I would go where you think the Lord is leading you. I think praying for wisdom and guidance is the best thing, because I am in a similar situation and am just asking the Lord to show me where He wants me to go. I hope He will give you peace about whatever decision you make!
