  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Separating Fact From Fiction: Recent Cases of Recovered Missing Children and What They Show About Child Sex Trafficking | Polaris

This short article from the Polaris Project just showed up in my Facebook newsfeed, and I thought it would be a good one to share. I haven't heard of the myths that the article mentions, but I suppose that's a good thing; hearing the facts from the experts before I hear the myths from anyone else makes life easier. Distinguishing the reality from the myths of trafficking (or anything) is vital, as it changes the way we approach these problems.

What are your thoughts on this?

May God bring all these children to peace & safety:prayer:

The two bullet points ring true to my experience. As a former therapist to sex traffic victims, a large challenge was to keep many of them from running back to their pimps or victimizers. Without exception, they were victims of previous abuse, neglect, or trauma who were looking for someone to love and care for them. And they thought they found it in the person who was exploiting them.
