Miss Edna

Sorry Y'all if I have been a bit umm "off my feed" the past few days

As usual I have been shielding something.

We have been in what could only be called a "death watch" over
a true saint of G-d by the name of Edna.

Now Edna is a 4'9" lady of great stature
indeed a towering giant of faith and grace.
With sparkling blue eyes and snow white hair she always
dresses in a particular way. Especially when she would enter
the house of the L-rd.

She spends her free time in a care facility writing songs
all of which she sings acapella. All of them to the glory of
the king. Never does she come to church not ready to
sing a special song. And we always allow her to do so.
And know what she never takes a microphone nor does she
need to. Because when Edna sings to the L-rd there is a youthful power
in her voice not belonging to an 85 year old lady.

Now I don't know if Edna really knows all that much about theology.
She got saved really late in life. But her bible is tattered and marked up
with lines and underlines and notes and little pieces of paper and cards.
And she knows what that Bible says and what she beleives, and she knows that she loves Jesus and that you should too. And if you stick around long
enough I positively can promise that she will tell you about it too.

Today Edna went home

I guess when I got a scratchy throat when I preach
some one else will have to give me a mint now.

Miss Edna was fed by God direct through the Bible.

thankyou for sharing what sometimes must be a difficult thing to witness, it sounds like she would have been a testimony to the rest of the family

She one time got up in front of the whole congregation and played a hymn on the Kazoo that she had just learned how to play.

I am not sad per say Well ok my spirit is not sad because I know where Edna went the moment she took her last breath.

You know Sometimes people come by and read these threads who are not saved. I want them to know that there is a way you can be sure to go to heaven.

In fact I think it's time for a new thread
