Mirror Image

As I was out exercising I was seeking the Lord to disciple me. He showed me a road sign and as I walked past it the sun glared brilliantly off it. He then spoke to me as such:

Bryan, did you notice the brilliance of the shine that bounced off that road sign? You were created in Me to reflect my glory as this sign reflects the glory of the sun. Just as a mirror will reflect in every detail the image of the one standing before it, so too do you, as my disciple, reflect my glory to the world around you. But you must keep the surface clean! Do you know a dirty mirror that shines in brilliance? Or pleases it's owner? Or displays the glory of the one before it? There is none. As a mirror must be clean to accurately and brilliantly reflect so too must you be clean to properly and gloriously represent and reflect me, the Son of the Most High. You are the light of the world! Walk in obedience to Me and you will shine brighter than the stars in the sky! Jut as I was the express image of my Father and walked in perfect obedience, so too must you walk inperfect obedience to me to be my express image. Worry not about the works and toils of life, choose the better part, know me! As you draw near to me you will walk in the fullness of God!

Thank You oh Lord for Your word! May You grant your servant strength to carry his cross daily and may you grant your servant the determination to deny himself daily to follow you Jesus!

Also, they asked JESUS what they must do to do the works of GOD?

JESUS said it this way; (and this is what we must do to):

Jesus told them, "This is the only work God wants from you: Believe in the one he has sent." John 6:29

Isn't that how it works - by believing (trusting)?
Simply trusting HIS un-conditional LOVE...

Who is JESUS!

The moon perfectly reflects the sun (SON) although not having light of its own.
JESUS Is LIGHT (the light of the world) but HE also said "you are light" too. Matthew 5:14

You keep clean by trusting JESUS, knowing HE not only forgives us, but also justifies us. Romans 5:1
That is the same as saying, you don't sin/never sinned - look it up, its wonderful.

And what does that amazing grace do, does it cheapen our walk, make it sloppy?

NO, it energizes us to good works, and loving the unlovable/forsaking self.

Love does not harm to his neighbour...it doesn't know how. Romans 13:10

It was a nice vision.

This part made me do a double take where you said; "Just as I was the express image of my Father and walked in perfect obedience, so too must you walk in perfect obedience to me to be my express image"...No one on earth can walk in "perfect obedience" except for Jesus of course. (Romans 3;23 for "all" have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,)but we are called to give it our "all" . To love and please Him with every bit of strength we have (first and second greatest commandments) while living under and acknowledging His grace and sacrifice. He did say be perfect as I am perfect, but the greek word there should really be translated as "complete". Perfection/completeness is reached in heaven where His full presence resides. 1 Corinth 13 "But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10 but when completeness comes, what is "in part" disappears. (in part means incomplete)

Moses face shone from spending time in God's presence. We cannot reflect what hasn't been first observed and received by spending much time with Him. It does appear that you do spend time with Him. Thank you for sharing this.
