I retract my earlier comment. Astrology makes far more sense.
If you think Astrology is akin to Theology, then put up a Zodiac on the courthouse lawn and watch atheists go by and giggle.
Then put the Ten Commandments up and watch them go by, and read tomorrow's newspaper, where they're up in arms that the Ten Commandments is forcing Christianity on the public.
Each one of talk about 'Mind' which is not any form physically visible yet is most contemporary phenomenon. Mind's influence is so intense that gives no choice but to follow its directions. Most ancient inscription 'Veda' explains - Body is a carrier of the Mind and its organs are tools. Mind interacts with external environment and gathers information so as to direct organs to act. Mind is Genetic Code or encoded seed that establishes the identity of a person. The mind, according to advaita Vedanta - According to advaita Vedanta the mind is a subtle substance (dravya). It is neither atomic nor infinite in size, but it is said to be of madhyama pariNAma, medium size, which may be taken to mean that it pervades the body of the particular jIva to which it belongs. The mind of each jIva is different. It has a beginning, as is proved by such shruti statements as, It (Brahman) projected the mind (br. up. 1.2.1). (VedAnta paribhASha). The nyaya-vaisheshika system considers the mind to be an eternal substance, atomic in size. An article Vedanta series 30 Vedanta Mind, intellect, ego and consciousness Mind is explained as संकल्प-विकल्पात्माकं मनः decision and indecision. Tattvabodha says that decision and indecision are the nature of the mind, explaining its vacillation. Mind vacillates because it gathers information from the material wrold through organs of perception. Mind is the connecting factor between anthahkarana (internal sensory organs) and bahyakarana (external sensory organs) and hence, is considered as the single important factor in spirituality. Subconscious Mind is memory that retains impressions of history of experiences, instinct and intellect (intellect derived from past history and instinct) guides mind to accept or reject. Functioning system varies from person to person, depends on unconscious and conscious mind. Vedic knowledge online explains Chitta (Memory) derived from the root chit, to be conscious. Chitta is the subconscious mind. It is the mind-stuff. It is the store-house of memory. Samskaras or impressions of actions are imbedded here. It is one of the four parts of antahkarana. A view of the mind in five parts: 1st Jagrat chitta (conscious mind-wakeful consciousness) 2nd Samskara chitta (Subconscious mind-impression mind) 3rd Vasana chitta (subsubconscious mind-mind of subliminal traits) Karana chitta (superconscious mind) 4th Anukaran chitta (subsuperconscious mind). (Wikipedia) Mahabali king of kerala, descendent of Asura tribe was also known as Bali or Maveli. Another version - Mahabalis real name is Indrasena. He was descendent of Diti Indo Iranian mother. According to the Yoga Vasistha, after inquiring the realm beyond the universe, heaven, devas and asura, which is ruled by the mind, Mahabali thus concentrated on the mind and being satisfied in himself, taught his pupils the only thing worth preserving is mind. Mind absorbs the knowledge you gain from gurus (spiritual teacher), your books and your life, and refines it to great wisdom.
I have already retracted that comment, thank you.
I enjoy Hinduism and Indian philosophy,
I doubt you could handle astrology.
You would have to learn rulership, delineation and aspect.
Just for starters.
I enjoy Hinduism and Indian philosophy, but I am not sure what the point of this post is
What are you asking us to discuss?
Also, paragraphs would make this more readable.
That's because Christianity is only about life after death, if there was no promise of an after life there would be no Christians, Christians are only in it for what they hope to get out of it, Christianity is pure selfishness. One problem to me about Hinduism or Buddhism is that they NEVER want to talk about the life after death. And that should be a big big issue any religion should have its own theology about it.
Caste system existed in all the civilizations. For example In Roman civilization democracy was for 5% of the total population 35-45% were slaves. Slave business was the best business during antiquity. However, most ancient inscription Rig Veda restricted misuse of slaves but over the time when civilization got corrupted things went opposite.Including the caste system?
beautiful insight. I love itThe soul is in some ways like a backup drive of the physical mind, which will survive after the physical mind perishes.
The soul is not you, but a copy of you?The soul is in some ways like a backup drive of the physical mind,
How do you know it will "survive"? Is this demonstrable?which will survive after the physical mind perishes.

Why don't you get a shrewdness of scientists to hang around someone near death with their microscales and weigh someone just before and just after they die?
Oh, wait! That's been done already, hasn't it?
Is that a "no", then?
Nope. Won't happen.
For most people, that's true.
