I'd be concerned myself, I'm met too many women who are more interested in the uniform than the guy inside it.

To be honest, all the guys I went to high school with who ended up in the army WERE hooligans who drank too much. I realize that's not always the case, or even the majority. All of the ROTC guys I've met in college are extremely nice and responsible.

But to be perfectly honest, if a guy told me he'd been in the army the bad stereotype would probably be at the back of my mind somewhere. It wouldn't be a deal-breaker if he had all the qualities I was looking for, but it would make me wary at first. I'm in no way trying to bash guys in the military, or anything. I appreciate the service that you're doing. I'm just saying this to answer your original question, so you can have some idea of what negative stereotypes you have to fight.

Oh my... I do indeed love a man in uniform. It isn't the uniform itself that gets me; it is the symbolism behind it. Strength... Honor... Courage... Bravery... All of which I find very attractive in the opposite gender. I find a man who is willing to serve God and country to be very sexy. My bf (jesuspickedmeup) is a Marine. Technically he is no longer "active," but as he says... Once a Marine, Always a Marine. Lol
