Like Ron I've moved away from trying to find an end time view. It's confusing, that said, I find myself siding with the Reformers on eschatology.

I don't have an end time view at the moment other than it will occur when God has determined it to happen. I used to be pre-mill but on further study of scripture, not so much anymore.

I grew up a dispensationalist and still have some strong feelings about it, but I haven't had much of a chance to view the opposing works to make an informed decision, so I still lean dispensational premil.

It will help a lot. Dispensationalism was spread by the Scofield bible and helped later by the Ryrie bible.

The Reformation Study Bible is a good one to get people back to traditional Christianity.

Dr Azurdia is the man. I recommend his exposition of Revelation along with every message he ever preached.

I thought it was wonderful how he used Scripture itself to interpret this very difficult book. "Let John interpret John!" I came away with not only a better understanding of this incredible book, but also a desire to dig deeper in the rest of the Bible.

Hank Hanegraff has a good book called "The Apocalypse Code"
It seemed to me almost partial preterist...but I don't know...he based everything on the presumption that the book of Revelation was written before the fall of the 2nd temple, ie before 70 ad.
It's good.

And thanks for the link to his presentation of Revelation. I just listened to his intro to that from 1 Corinthians and it was excellent.

I would like to ask for your prayers. I am going to present these to my husband to see if he will listen to them with me. I've been hoping and praying he will at some point want to do a Bible study with me, but lately he's had no motivation whatsoever. I know he used to be somewhat obsessed with end times studies, so maybe this will peak his interest. It would also be great for us to hear the Amil presentation as we've both been raised dispy premil and that's really all we know in any detail.

I also have Hank's book, and you're right; it's basically partial preterist. But it's not really a systematic eschatology, it's basically a polemic against dispensationalism. It tries to cover hermeneutics in general and then apply them to eschatology in particular. I think in the process it doesn't do either particularly well, he spends as much time using inflammatory rhetoric as he does actually discussing the subject at hand. In the end it gives a wounded dispensationalist something to think about, but doesn't really provide an in-depth convincing analysis. I think a better presentation of partial preterism is R C Sproul's "The Last Days According to Jesus". Although I know there are better ones than that out there also.
