I've been thinking about this forum and how we fab 40's have really great fellowship threads and how we're really getting to know each other through them.:)

And then I've been thinking about how there have been a few threads started with a more deeper, serious content and they don't get as much attention and some, none at all. So, I was just wondering how you good people feel. Do you like to keep it light and warm? Are you looking for more deeper conversations about life and faith? Or do you go somewhere else on CF for that?

For myself, I am involved with a care group, and am active at my church so I kind of like to come here for fun and fellowship but I would be very much for particapating in more deeper threads......What do you think? Do you think that that is something that will evolve over time as we get to know one another better?

Cookie, good question. I can get into both, milk and meat but I tend to be more of a milk person online. The reason, it is hard for me to express my intent the way I intend it. Online deep conversations need expressions, which we can't do. But if one of our Fab 40's wants to get deep, I'm in...with a caveat...take what I say as I'm "trying" to say it in love.

:) I so agree with you Jan - I've seen people take comments the wrong way and get uptight over things that were not meant in the post but were just not conveyed properly because of the lack of expression.

I also find it hard to be the person to instigate a thread - it seems like some have a natural gift for it - I don't. I think I am too much of an over-analyzing thinker for it!

There are times when light and warm work for me and other times where I love getting into the meatier things. Just depends on how each thing speaks to me, if you get my drift :0)

I with ya.....sometimes I like just relaxing and playing around, other times I'm in the mood to get into something deeper than just games. But I hate the heated debates that get nasty.

I a deep-thinker type. I have often been told in my life that I need to lighten-up. :)

That's probably why I hang out mostly in other areas of the forum - it's where I feel most at home. Unfortunately, I'm not very good at chit-chat.

Blessed advent to all!

With love in Christ,
Grace
