I like Mike Huckabee very much; it's impossible not to like him, he's too charming and reasonable. But I agree with those who say he's too much of a big government Republican to be the best choice as a nominee. I think he serves best where he is now, as a TV personality with his own show on the Fox News Channel.
I voted for Bob Barr on the Libertarian Party ticket this time around. My state went for Obama 57% to 40%, and I knew it was going to be something like that, so voting for McCain would've been just as much a futile protest vote. That being the case, I figured I might as well vote for the one I actually agreed with.
I'm not at all sure who'd be my top choice for 2012. Bobby Jindal is certainly a possibility, but I'm sure many more will arise, especially if Obama doesn't do well.
