Mighty Fortress
The Lord our God is the strength of my life.
A very present help in times of trouble,
I called unto him and he delivered me from the miry clay.
From the battle that was against me.
It was not by the power of the sword,
It was not by the power of the bow,
It was by the power of his word.
Able to silence the voice of the evil one.
By his word the heavens and earth were formed.
The sun was set in the sky. The day is separate
from the night. By his word the mountains were
formed. Who am I that he is mindful of me?
Anyone who trusts him will not be put to shame.
God defends us with his righteous right hand.
God defends us when we face injustice.
God sets our feet on solid ground.
We are yet a little lower than the angels.
The hairs of our head are numbered.
God is not beyond reach of our problems.
God wants us to prosper in soul and mind.

He binds up the wounds. Restores us to his joy.
