  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

As stated previously, the EVENT was spoken of in Matthew. The PURPOSE of it was NOT, and scripture tells us that the disciples "understood NOT these things". Why? Because the preaching of the Cross was UNIQUE to Paul, and he alone gives us the gospel of the finished work of Calvary for salvation.

Anyone who knows Pauls information can READ INTO Matthew what they know...but it wasnt the good news that saved in Matthew. THEIR good news was believing in the promised MESSIAH and being water baptized for the remission of their sins. NO death, burial and resurrection was given to them as the GOOD NEWS.

Knowing what you now know about me, would you say I'm not saved because I confessed faith based on reading the Gospel of Matthew?

I have already shown that this is not true. Peter, Philip, and all of the apostles preached Christ to the Jews just as Paul did to the Jews and Gentiles. Paul did not change his message at all.

One of the big points of the Acts 2 Dispys is that the gospel that Paul taught was HIS gospel. In 2 Cor 4:3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: Paul shows that it was the Corinthian gospel also. When the gospel is accepted it becomes the possession of the person accepting it.

Paul did not have a special gospel for the Gentiles. His message was the same as Peter's. The message that Jesus told his disciples to bring to the world is found in Luke 24:47 And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
And that is exactly what all the apostles did. Everytime that Paul would enter into a town he went directly to the synogogue even after he became the apostle to the Gentiles, which happened at the Jerusalem council in Acts 15.

There are way too many contradictory scriptures in the Acts 2 Dispys theology. When you treat the Word of God like a patchwork quilt where you pick and choose what scriptures fit your belief then you are going to contradict yourself many times.

The issue over the blood of the New Covenant is a perfect example. They claim forgiveness of sins by the blood of Christ yet they do not believe that the New Covenant is in effect today, which is contradictory. The blood that cleanses sin is the blood of the New Covenant therefore if the NC is not in effect we are all lost in our sin. Major contradiction!!!

Adam and Eve still had the ability to either believe God or NOT? right? All trees but ONE. Did they choose to believe God? or NOT? God has always provided the sacrifice for mankind. He could have left us all in the position of being separated from Him by our sin, but He provided a way for mankind even from the beginning. The love of God....awesome.
