  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

If you already have a bachelor's degree you might want to consider a micromasters from EDX, these are 12-credit graduate level programs and will only set you back about $1600 versus about $30,000 for a full-blown masters, these programs are open enrollment so you do not have to be accepted at the school to attend, also no GRE test. There are 100s of programs available, you can even get one from Harvard as long as you can handle Harvard-level coursework! You could have Harvard on your resume! There are other top-flight schools such as MIT, RIT, Cornell, University of Chicago, and UCLA Berkley! If you want to have a look at the schools available the list is here: Schools and Partners

Another credential that people can consider after a bachelors degree is a master diploma. It's less expensive than a masters degree and doesn't have you do things that won't contribute to your knowledge or skill in your field. It's more of a trade skill and a diploma focuses on the practical rather than philosophical. There's often hands on training and usually doesn't take quite as long as a masters degree (if you hustle). I can take 6 months to 2 years to get a master diploma and usually it is self paced to large degree. Just fyi!
