  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

When I heard that on the news all I could think was,
Oh poor Michelle, thousands of people losing their jobs, homes and can't feed their families. Not to mention worrying about losing their lives and she is a little depressed. I got the impression her depression had nothing to do with the state of the world.
I am still heated about it. It just struck me wrong. Millionairess, with no real worries, worried about her little depression and that they thought that was big news out of all the other tragedies.
OH THE TRIALS OF THE RICH.

The thing about disease is that it really doesn't discriminate.

Depression is a disease, and it doesn't care if you're a nobody from the middle of no where, or the former First Lady of the United States.

actually thought good for Michelle Obama to say she is feeling depressed

when more "known" people come out and say they suffer from mental issues, it help regular people talk about it, and maybe seek help

too long mental illness has just been whispered about, people are ashamed, and don't seek help

Well I do not fault you for your feelings. Many felt the same way about Ellen Degeneres, who was complaining how rough it was. Try to put yourself in a rich person's shoes though. They are restricted all the same. No running around or entertainment. I now that is a luxury to most of us, so for them it is even more of a life changer in that regard. They still have stuff, but it is like having a Rolls with no place to drive it. No big deal if I can't drive the beater around. So that is quite a fall for them. Even more so if you consider that they can't buy themselves out of a pandemic. Now of course that is nothing if you consider the poor guy who can't pay rent, can't afford health care, and is on the edge. All groups though still have losses though.
I let my feelings for Michelle color my judgement and I realized that through your kind and understanding reply.
Thank you
Bless your heart:)
