I'm a catholic, not an OO, so I can say what miaphisite means for us

Mia=one (united) Physes=nature.

It is a new term created to do NOT use the term "Monophisite", =one (single) nature, that is wrong because it rappresents the Eutyches view (that is NOT the one of the OO)

Miaphisite means NOT to believe in a single nature in Jesus Christ (where the human nature disappears) but rather in a united divine- human nature.

The problem is what is a Physes. We could say that miaphisite means to believe in the continuity of existence of the two natures in the one incarnate nature of the Son

I sugest you to read the stick thread Why the Copts are NOT Monophysites:

Please a OO help me

Dear ....

After Chalcedon they accused us we are Eutechian, which suggest that The Human nature has been souted through the Divine nature...

in fact, Ephesus II, denied this herecy.

We beleive in one nature (divine -human) without any mix, or dispertion ... etc.

so Miaphysite was the term which the Chalcedonians called us in the past.
