Florida has a U.S. senator who once flew aboard the Space Shuttle.

A congressional candidate from Miami can go one better: Bettina Rodriguez Aguilera says she’s been aboard a spaceship too. But this one was crewed by aliens. As in extraterrestrials.

Three blond, big-bodied beings — two females, one male — visited her when she was 7 years old and have communicated telepathically with her several times in her life, she says. (Sen. Bill Nelson served as payload officer aboard the Space Shuttle Columbia in 1986. All seven people aboard were from Earth. As far as is known.)

When I was a child, my dreams were so vivid that when i woke up, it took me several minutes to convince myself that i was "now" in the real world

occassionally, as an adult, I will have a dream that powefully vivid... around 10 or so times per year. Though now, when I wake up, it only takes me 20 or so seconds to figure out i'm now in the real world...

Then couple that with "false memories" and yeah... I guess I can see how someone could legitimately think they were abducted...

the one commonality among all alien abductee stories is humanity's seeming importance. Which always strikes me as odd. I mean, when we abduct animals do we care enough about "secrecy" to take extraordinary measures to hide all proof of an abduction? Why would aliens care?

We'd be lesser beings to them...

Why not? Congress is already full of non-human life forms. She would be right at home.
