God is all about timing and I finished the Book of Amos today. I can not count the times I have heard that part of the Bible was for the people back then, satan has always whispered lies.
Amos was in a time people where being treated bad. A time people where being removed from lands and sold like a crop of corn or a herd of cattle.
Amos 7:14 Then answered Amos, and said to Amaziah, I was no prophet, neither was I a prophet's son; but I was an herdman, and a gatherer of sycomore fruit: 15 And the Lord took me as I followed the flock, and the Lord said unto me, Go, prophesy unto my people Israel.
God sent a poor man in a time of very rich and very poor , hummmmm?
Mexico has been in the news everyday since I started reading this chapter. I can not even watch the children that cry but God is. God says this in the days of Amos , Amos 9:9
For, lo, I will command, and I will sift the house of Israel among all nations, like as corn is sifted in a sieve, yet shall not the least grain fall upon the earth.
I ask God today to give me something as people calling themselves Christians are pulling Scriptures out about building walls and borders.
He gave me this , Luke 10:27 And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.
Mexico is our neighbor, many ask what does that verse really mean, so I ask God, as man has things all wrong right now and He sent me here, Luke 8:21 And he answered and said unto them, My mother and my brethren are these which hear the word of God, and do it.
The church was never to do anything but build souls. If we had been building the right kind of houses there would not be anyone one at that imaginary border trying to cross over. Mexico has always been on my heart even as a child and never had to be as it is, if we had used Jesus as the Corner Stone.
There is a sifting of corn going on, as this has divided our country. The church was to be every ones refuge , where are the churches and what is on their agenda today as these children cry??? The church was to build churches and God provided the rest. satan was very good at his job in the Garden , in Amos and now.
We have made America an Island we do not want neighbors , that did not work out well in Scriptures...
We have had enough money in this great land to build churches in Mexico that took care of God's people and God create fruit in them... We sure like going there for vacations and have them work jobs we do not want , we are no different than the people in Amos. That chapter has our name all over it …2 Timothy 3:16- All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.
Amos the poor herdsman was sent by God in the days of Jeroboam the son of Joash king of Israel, two years before the earthquake. Why is that earthquake mentioned , because God shakes and sifts that is what He has always done. They did not want to hear Amos then or now , that is why we tell ourselves that was for that time and those people...We have always been a people that wants to feel good even when we should be in sackcloth …Every church in America should come together as One and help our neighbor but we are busy with our own agendas and divided . The Bible always spoke to Nations we where to never be as we are...satan knows the power in coming together , we are the ones that is clueless. Can you imagine if every church in this Nation stopped this very minute and all met in one place on anything ...Especially for the children and please take note children has been the theme for about a year now ,from shootings to this... God is speaking can we hear Him???
