Metrosexual?

What do you guys think about the subject? In case you have not heard of the term, it is basically men who are extremely feminine (not homosexual) and have labeled themselves metrosexual. My main problem with this is that it does not seem to fit into the biblical outline of a man, which is the protector/provider. However I am having a little bit of trouble coming up with verses that can specifically apply to this. What are your opinions?

Sorry ladies, but I have to disagree. I don't think a guy should be so concerned with his appearance, it really almost makes me sick. I mean, a guy whould take care of himself physically (exercise and eat right), and keep himself clean and even dresss sharp on occasion. But these foofy light-loafers, to me, are just another symptom of the effeminization of men in our country.

Mmm. I think it is quite alright to dress well, stay cleancut and tidy, and generally make yourself presentable. But it is quite another thing to streak your hair, use moisturiser, look at yourself in the mirror every five minutes and dress like a GQ model. I have no time for pretty boys (primarily because I am not pretty myself ;) ) and think it is just a form of narcissism.

But I am curious: which do women prefer out of extremely well dressed, slender, immaculately groomed, cleancut men or the more rugged, rougher sort of man who does not care too much about his appearance but is not slobbish or untidy, but just presentable?

Also do women like muscular men or slender, lean men? I am about 210lbs and 6 feet 2 and do not carry a lot of fat.(I lift weights a lot and play rugby)
My mum says I will intimidate nice girls, and that I should stop lifting weights so often and eating so much (I ignore her) but I was curious as to whether girls are put off by overly muscular men?

Sorry if some of my qs are a bit offtopic

Well if a guy is prettier than me, spends more time in the mirror than me.. it's like, whoa now.. I do love a cleancut guy who is INTELLIGENT and LOVES GOD and IS A MUSICIAN! (Hey it is the TRUTH!)... but yea :)

Saxman - Well, I like men whom are in shape.. and I love tall men.. so that is my 2 cents. If you intimidate a girl, she isn't worth your time anyway ;) You need a strong woman! :D

what's the big no-no about using moisturizer? I'd rather have a guy that does that than some scaly thing I can't kiss because he cuts up my face.

I don't like hair dye on guys... and I don't like clear nailpolish... and I don't like when guys shave or wax their body hair, except maybe back hair, ick. But clean-shaven chests or legs, ick.

woa clear nail polish, I never thought of a guy wearing that before. I watch Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, and its really funny how shocked the fab 5 are whenever they meet the guy who needs to be madeover. They do a great job in my opinion. As long as the guy in question doesnt care about his looks more than I do then Im fine!

Yeah, I don't need a guy who's prettier than me. lol It's nice to have a guy who can clean up well and all, but not a guy who is obsessive about his looks. It isn't a trait that I care for in women, and I certainly don't care for it in men.

As for big guys, I love 'em. Yup. I'm not a tiny, petite woman myself, and it's nice to stand next to a big guy. lol It helps me feel feminine when I tower over other girls and could probably bench press them. I'm not beastly, but compared to super slender, short little goodies, I can feel that way. So, that's my take on larger guys. I'm not intimidated in the slightest.

Good to hear that there are women out there who aren't put off like weightlifting and rugby fanatics like me, despite the fact that I probably weigh twice as much as them :p (Even if my mother says I look like a thug)

Oh and to clear up a common misperception, I and most men I have spoken too much prefer taller, more womanly, curvier girls over the slender, waif-like supermodels.

Oh and I often get accused by male friends of overdressing. I am at college and I have to say I have never felt comfortable in jeans and T-shirts and sportswear other than when I am training. I tend to instead wear suit trousers (black, cream or grey) and a office shirt in either cream, light blue or white or some combination of the three colours in stripes or checks, sometimes with a navy or cream V-neck sweater. I also occasionally wear a navy blazer or a grey blazer over a T-shirt. I feel comfortable in these clothes, but would girls at college think I was overdressed, vain, looking for attention or showing off?

Meterosexual guys are fine, but its VERY intimadating, because when you see a guy like that, your first thought is that they're gay, and you dont want to go up to them and ask them, and if there good looking, i mean i cant go up to a guy i think is gay but cute and be like"hey your cute but i think your gay..are you? " It just doesnt work, i think they some how have to work in there manliness, so i at least get a sence that there straight. Most homosexuals will come off as flirting, so you dont know if there homosexual or meterosexual, and most of them wont come out and say, hey look im straight..You know, So my only problem with Meterosexuals, is that there confusing, and dont know which way they go. So if your meterosexual...PLEASE COME UP WITH SOME WAY TO SHOW YOUR STRAIGHT!!!!! :)
