Just finished playing Last Light. Thought it ended a bit suddenly, but overall I enjoyed it. I'm a big fan of bleak Russian games, need to dig out my STALKER series at some point

I liked Stalker, but I just can't get into Metro. I've tried many times to play it and it just seems to bland to me or something. Can't put my finger on it.

To be fair, I know what you mean. I think both games have started off well, but never seem to escalate the action once about halfway through. I guess I really love the setting and the survival mechanics / ammo currency ideas, which make up for the gameplay faults. The stealth mechanics work really well too, IMO.
