  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Not one scientist claims that global warming is caused by man.
No not one.

Where do you come up with this garbage. Over 97% of working climatologists agree that the current warming trend is due to anthropogenic causes.

This is not opinion, it comes from the peer review literature. Please read the following study published by the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.

Expert credibility in climate change

And all of the following scientific organizations have published statements saying that the warming of the past several decades is due to human causes. Please read each and every one of their statements.

There are many who agree that we have added to the natural high cycle.
That is only a partially true statement and quite misleading. No climatologist claims that the current warming trend is 100% anthropogenic. As for a natural cycle, none have been in effect since the early part of the 20th century.

No, science does not do 100%. It is always open to falsification.

Perhaps you were just fortunate to work in a place where you were not required to explain your poor lab work, bias, and fraud.

A handful of places, and they all had the exact same component,
normal people.

That's the problem then, "normal people".
Things would've been better if you had one or two of the real scientists:

You are implying ONLY said cause.
Citation needed for that.

I'll just quote from the first two to save time.
I'll pick quotes that support my position and my focus.

“Like the pseudoscientific rainmakers of yore, today’s aspiring climate engineers wildly exaggerate what is possible and scarcely consider the political or ethical implications of attempting to manage the world’s climate—with potential consequences far greater than any of their predecessors were ever likely to face.”

  • "include increasing concentrations of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, which is significantly contributing to the warming of the global climate."

I could go through the entire list and not find one statement
supporting your bald-faced lie that there are no natural
    forces causing global temperature increases.

I admit that those who were exposed for fraud are in the vast minority.
I can assure you that none of the incidents were made very public.
No cities print the entire police blotter like small towns can.

You would have a little more credibility if you quoted where Rick claimed such a thing.

Who's making bald-faced lies now?

Just because your not following the conversation, doesn't mean I'm obligated to recap it for you.
I admit to making a lazy post. He has made the same claim multiple times.

It was relevant because it was true. Good humor is tension relief for facts that are stressed. My wife wouldn't laugh. If I go on the computer when I can't sleep she is quite perturbed. And it doesn't help that the TV reminds her that 3/4 of all new relationships start online.

NAAAaaaa. People are always free to respond as they please.
This is the internet. Weirdo's travel in every kind of disguise.
Who you take seriously and why is entirely up to you.

What do I know? I had heard that females get treated poorly in chat rooms.
Well, my sister was living at my house at the time so one night I signed in on
my computer but used her profile. I found out that the ladies really do get hit
on by a lot of creeps in chat rooms. I also was chatting with one girl late at night
who was having a medical problem. Evidently she was very young and hadn't told
her parents and was looking for advice. I advised her to wake up her mom right
then and explain her problems. She ended up in the hospital and got treated.

So I don't even hold anything against people using fake identities.
The world is a big place with room even for fakers to do some good.

That would be both "anti-God" and "anti-religion". If you exclude something, you are "Anti".

Nonsense. Are you anti Jesus since you don't include him as part of a recipe for hamburgers? How about when you explain how to use a lawnmower? Maybe hamburgers and lawnmowers are built on "anti-religion" and "anti-God" science as well since God isn't mentioned in their recipes or blueprints, respectively.

My mistake.

If you intentionally exclude something central to your training and education, you are presenting a case that is "Anti" to your background.

I figured that others could figure that out, but I overestimated.
Entirely my fault.

Excluding the possibility is anti, science doesn't exclude the possibility however.
It's agnostic. It just doesn't care, if something spiritual or supernatural would gain evidence it would be included.
There is no evidence, therefore it never happened.

By your logic, science is not about reality, it's only about making up stories to fit available evidence. Absence of evidence is evidence of absence by your logic.
