When I went to see Fahrenheit 9/11 last night, one of the previews was for the "Metallica movie"-- their lame, corporate version of "The Real World" that wishes it were "Spinal Tap". It makes me ill just thinking about it-- the guys who in the early 80s were the epitome of not bowing to music trends, of sticking to their guns, etc. now reduced to this. I hope my 40s don't do something like this to me...

i use to love metallica, i still think they r ok, but Anthrax(secular) and Living Sacrfice(christian) are better

Yeah, well id like to see you justify that up against what the bible says.

Christians are set apart for God, and the things of heaven, not the trash of the world and lies of Satan. WE as warriors and lights need to live the diference, show the evidence which is the fruit to the world!! rememebr you know a Chrsitian by its fruit. Is metalicca really something you want God to be picking of your branch to see if you are His?

Are you calling Metallica satanic??? That seems kind of closeminded and unaccepting. Didn't the Bible tell us to love our neighbors as our brothers? Calling my choice in music satanic doesn't seem brotherly. Besides...Metallica is plenty Christian, at least two of their songs mention God, and praying to God for help . Doesn't seem to me like Satan would pray to God for help. My religion might be wrong, but we believe that if we ask for forgiveness, Jesus will accept us into heaven. There is no fruit to be picked to see if you will be saved. God knows that every human is his child, so he need not look at their history to be sure. I respect a difference of opinion, but there is more than one answer, and there is room for compromise.

I like Metallica Black Album and before. After that, suckage abounds. I also like the symphonic rock band Apocalyptica. They play stringed instruments and cover Metallica songs (no vocals, of course). If you appreciate music as a whole, check out their "Plays Metallica By Four Cellos" and "Inquisition Symphony." The latter has some pretty nifty Pantera stuff on it too.

I like Metallica alot, except I'm not fond of their new album.
I haven't heard of Apocalyptica, but it sounds like it would be cool to listen to.
I'll have to check it out!!!!
