Messianic vs. Judaism- difference?

Hi everyone. I was wondering what the difference between being a Messianic and a Jewish person is? Do Messianics believe in Jesus? I thought I had read a post somewhere that they do. I'm just curious and dont mean to offend anybody in any way. Thank you!
