• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I know exactly what you're talking about.

I bless God for each and every one of you who have allowed me to voice my doubts about whatever without judgement and over surprise. Sometimes voicing the questions helps in finding answers.
My trust in Hashem and Yeshua stand strong, it's other things.....
So thank you, each and every one!!

We don't practise communion or anything like unto it. I have not since I left the church about 10 years ago. We celebrate Passover and remember what Y'shua did then, as well as any day (especially Shabbat) when we break bread and have wine. Because we say the prayer "Baruch atah Ad-nai El-heynu Melech HaOlam, Borey Pri Hagafen" - Blessed are you oh L-rd our G-d, who brings forth the fruit of the vine. As well as "....HaMotzi Lechem Min Ha'aretz" - Who brings forth bread from out of the earth.

It's a visual/oral reminder every time we eat/drink. It's also a very visual/mental/oral reminder when we partake in passover and remember our deliverance both as a people leaving Egypt, and a people being saved from sin.

In most Christian denominations (if not virtually all), the churches have in common two sacraments the baptism and the communion, which are transforming the spirit of the believer. Communion is the symbolic ceremonial of the Messiah which link us to the actual sacrifice of atonement of our Lord Yeshua, having taken place about two thousand years ago and is transhistoric, since Moses and Elijah participate to the life of Yeshua, visualized at the Mount Tabor. If I understand well, many Messianic congregations do not consider communion as a sacrament, unless I misunderstood some participants of this forum.

You would have to attend a Messianic service to see hear and taste the difference... they are just not quite the same thing... nor are they to be compared..
