  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

this question may have been asked before but what are the differences between Messianic and Christianity if any?
Big difference

I believe in Yeshuah but if somebody asks me if I'm a christian I say no.

You are what mainstream says you are. When I eat Chinese,I see what the chinese worship,When I see musslims I see what they worship,When I see 2 dudes on a bike with white shirts ,I know who they are.If I go to somebody's house and see a christmas tree,I know they are christian. If they wear a cross,I know they are christian

I beg to differ. Many nonchristians do christmas and as far as crosses go, look at your average thug. Crosses are sadly, a trendy thing to wear. People who can care less about God's word where them as well as christians. I for one, challenge the wearing of the scripturally anyways.

Although a bit off topic, I think his ultimate point was that labels are meaningless. People like to categorize and stereotype--it makes it easier that way. Heaven forbid one actually asks the person what they believe, in an attempt to understand! :)
Ahhh but what a badge if you know that to be called a "Christian" was orriginally
an insult hurled down at the beleivers of "the way"

Call me a Christian ok I accept the insult and the condemnation with gladness for my L-rd.

Some call me a Jew for I live and worship as one. Well ok I know you are using that as an insult too. I know in your replacement theology mindset you have placed me under your feet. Good I will stay there with the rest of G-d's chosen people.

Some call me confused nope I am not confused I seek only the truth that G-d set forth. I reserve the right to be wrong today and correct myself tommorow as Ha'Shem reviels himself to me in conviction of my heart.

Some call me a heritic or a judiazer. Thats ok too if following what G-d said to do makes me wrong in your eyes I can live with that. I just want to do what is right in G-d's eyes. He knows that. I am sorry if I offend your blasphemous man made traditions. Feel free to follow themAs for me and my house we will serve the lord

Ahriman, the two main differences that may help you to understand:

For the most part Messianics:

1. Follow Torah ( the first five books of the "Old Testament" We believe that those laws are still to be followed today, in the light of what Moschiah Yeshua taught the doing and understanding of them.

2. Celebrate the Holidays ( Holy Days) designated and approved and commanded by the L-RD, including the first Holy day, the Sabbath. We do not recognize as ordained by G-d the holidays of the church in general.
