Hi,

did someone ever hear something about Markolf H. Niemz or his thesis or message2soul.com?

Markolf H. Niemz is german physicist who is doing some near-death-research.
He says that with the physical death our soul is accelerated to the speed of light and goes over to a light-like state.

It sounds a bit like the person who, at the end of the nineteenth century, tried to determine the weight of the soul by weighing somebody before death, and again, immediately after death.

Whatever the soul is, it is not something you can do physics on, and, if you try, you will probably end up talking gobbledegook.

Yes, I have. It's interesting to note that people from different religious backgrounds usually experience NDEs through their own religious and cultural filters.

I think Niemz is trying to find a bridge between religion and science. It's a new thesis and nobody says that it is true. But I think it's quite interesting...

It is indeed interesting, that those of different religions have NDE's that match their personal beliefs. Sort of leads one to believe, the mind is a powerful thing.

Neuropsychologists, have also been able to reproduce some similar experiences to NDE, by stimulating parts of the brain, like what happens when the brain is deprived of oxygen.

What does "very fast" feel like? We can feel acceleration, but not speed itself. How fast does it feel like you are moving right now?

What is the mass of a soul? If it is 0, the soul is already traveling at the speed of light. My soul would be out past the nearest stars by now.

If the soul has a non zero mass, it is impossible for it to reach the speed of light.
